Design & Branding Studio of Matt Gray

Seafairer

Seafairer want to change the way people think about seafood. They've put those that catch it and the sea that nurtures it at the heart of everything they do. They don’t do salmon or prawns, but they do amazing things with crab and dab. They’ve made dinner quick, easy and guilt-free.

I wanted to create an identity that was honest and bold, taking inspiration from the hand painted signs and graphics seen on boats and equipment around the harbour. Despite having faded and worn over time, they retain a dense colour and an impactful appearance and personality that’s impossible to ignore.

Everything from the base palette of blues and typography to the stencil illustrations and patterns set out to capture this same spirit.
